Around SBN: NFL Players Ready To Welcome Gay Teammate

Saturday Wild Card Open Thread

NEW ORLEANS - NOVEMBER 21: Marques Colston #12 of the New Orleans Saints scores a touchdown as he breaks a tackle by Lofa Tatupu #51 of the Seattle Seahawks at Louisiana Superdome on November 21 2010 in New Orleans Louisiana. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)

Saints at Seahawks. I thought the Seahawks have no chance at coming away with a win, but Football Outsiders pegs their chances at 25%. Any NFL team can beat another NFL team on any given Sunday (Saturday). However the oddsmakers have the Saints as 10 to 11 point favorites, which is the biggest road favorite in 30 years. It's been a brutal week for the Saints on the injury front, and I don't see how they can get back to the Super Bowl without RB Pierre Thomas who's out for the season. Check out Canal Street Chronicles and Field Gulls for more on this game.

Jets at Colts. Just as the Saints are way better than the Seahawks according to Football Outsiders's DVOA ratings (however nearly ever team is better than the Seahawks), the Jets are ranked as the No. 6 team and the Colts are at No. 15. I wouldn't mind if both teams lost, but obviously that's not possible. Check out Gang Green Nation and Stampede Blue for more on this game.

Here's the thing

Fat: 1 gram = 9 calories
Protein: 1 gram = 4 calories
Carbohydrates: 1 gram = 4 calories
Alcohol: 1 gram = 7 calories

So in a 55 calorie beer, there are necessarily ~8 grams of alcohol. Which equates to slightly less than 2/3s of the alcohol in a normal industrial brew, which is approximately 5%. Miller has found a new way to market near-beer.

I don’t think I’m alone when I say, “Fuck that noise.”

When calling a to at the end of the game call it with 3 secs. so you don’t have to kick off, not 7 seconds.
