Packers Host Broncos: Pre-Game Injury Report
The big news for the Green Bay Packers were the injuries that will keep RB Ryan Grant and RT Bryan Bulaga out this week. Grant will be replaced by James Starks, and FB John Kuhn will be given an expanded role. The Packers should be fine without Grant for one week. I'd have been worried about the loss of Bulaga, but RT Marshall Newhouse played well as his replacement last week.
They were also without four linebackers in practice on Friday. While Matthews was one of them, he did practice on Thursday and is expected to start. Zombo has been out for several weeks, and backups Jones and Lattimore haven't contributed much except on special teams. I'm not surprised Mike McCarthy isn't concerned about it.
Collins and Neal are out again, but everyone else should play. Lattimore, Jones, and Lee are probably game time decisions, but the Packers have enough depth to weather their absence.
The injury report is looking better for the Broncos. It's been expected all week that CB Champ Bailey and DE Elvis Dumervil would play, but the official injury report has them listed as questionable (which would indicate they're a game time decision). Eddie Royal and Demaryius Thomas are both out, which doesn't give them a lot of depth at wide receiver. It was so thin a couple weeks ago that Tim Tebow had to make a cameo as a receiver.
The complete injury report from Packers.com. The Packers complete injury report is after the jump.

Hey guys.
I’d like to get a 3rd party opinion on a little debate going on at POD. Cowboys fans love to live in the past and bring up how they were good 18 years ago constantly. I’m so sick of the ’America’s Team’ being shoved down our throats. Anyway, some Cowgirls fans were saying how Emmitt Fucking Smith is better than Barry “the quitter” Sanders. Barry lost his passion for the game and didn’t want to play just to break records (like Emmitt did). So the quitter title is moot. I dug up some stats…
avg yards/carry: Emmitt 4.2, Barry 5.0
avg yards/game: Emmitt 81.2, Barry 99.8
Emmitt’s top 3 avg yards/carry seasons: 5.3, 4.7, 4.6
Barry’s top 3 avg yards/carry seasons: 6.1, 5.7, 5.3
Barry also had a 2000 yard season. Emmitt? nope…. never.
Barry played 5 less seasons than Emmitt.
I’m wondering, what do you guys think? Is Emmitt better than Barry?
When Dominic Raiola jumps in a lake he doesn't get wet. The water gets Raiola'd.

Ummm No Barry Is Better
Emmitt was blessed with an amazing offensive linemen that allowed him to run the “North-South” style. Its easy to get those yards when your running from goal line to goal line.
Barry had to cut alot, so he did more running side to side than Emmitt did. Barry was also one year away from breaking the record in 1999 in his 11th year of the season where it took Emmitt 12 years.
Taking it into account, in 15 years Emmitt Smith rushed for 18,355 yards. IF Barry Sanders would of played for 15 years, and using his average, he would of finished with 23,253 yards. Over 4,800 more yards.

Barry by far.
People can intelligently argue that Brown, Simpson and Payton were better running backs. Beyond that, any “debate” is silly. Maybe Sayers or Dickerson? Eh, no. Smith is a top 20 RB of all time. Barry is a top 3
no but I like
Smith as he named all his offensive linemen at his HOF induction. Classy guy…but Id take Jim Taylor over both of them..
hope
i hope this means we finally get to see vic so’oto. i’ve been anxious to see how he looks opposite clay matthews. i like walden, but so’oto has excited about the possibilities.
What has So'oto done in the NFL?
This is more out of curiosity than sarcasm; I had never heard of the guy before the Packers signed him.
Nothing yet...
he’s a rookie.
He was a beast at BYU though. He played all defensive sections at some point in his career. (Dline, Linebacker, Dback) which is why he is so athletic as a LB.

Well, he sounds good from what I've read and what you guys say about him.
I hope it translates onto the field.
I think, in time, he could be more athletic than Walden or Zombo or Jones even...
but I wouldn’t expect him to do too much yet. Would love to see him though

With Coach Zorro on our side, we will slice opponents to ribbons. Tim Tebow gives me hope and I already have faith and charity in my heart! I see a propitious future rife with Lombardis for our Broncos!

Hey Silverstein....
I was taking out my garbage last night and I stumbled over this bag of dicks you can suck on.
Really? I mean, the game could be close, and they could lose…..but to say there is no way they can’t be complacent is just arrogant!
TOM SILVERSTEIN: There is no way the Packers can go into this game not being complacent.
I’m sure McCarthy appreciates that vote of confidence you anal fissure.
