The Packers announced the signing OL Cecil Newton to the practice squad. He's been on the active roster for the Jaguars briefly, but he's spent most of the last three seasons on the practice squads for either the Jaguars or Saints. He's been making his way around at tryouts, he was in Detroit last week for one, and now he's got a new home. 

With OL Ray Dominguez signed off the practice squad, they had a spot available. It's a little thin on the line and they probably needed him to fill out the scout team.
