Ex-Packers offensive lineman Gillingham dies at 67 - JSOnline. Based on Pro Bowl appearances (five), Gale Gillingham was the greatest guard in the their history. Only tackle Forrest Gregg and center Jim Ringo had more Pro Bowl nods. And he was involved in one of the worst coaching decisions in Packer history: Dan Devine tried to convert one of the best offensive lineman in the NFL into a defensive tackle.
