As a 49ers fan, I spent much of the past week talking about how I wanted the Lions to win.
Seeding and all of that, ya know? But now that the game is going, and I remember two things … how dirty they are, and how whiny and awful their fans were after the 49ers beat them, I’m now rooting for Green Bay. Kick their ass and give ‘em hell. And I sincerely hope your coach knows he has to be gentle with poor ol’ Schwartz in the postgame.

his role has changed a bit this year, and he’s continually seen a ton of double-teams which has greatly reduced his sack output. he’s still a force that opposing offenses must keep their eyes on.

What they don’t tell you is we play very good “bend but don’t break” defense and force turnovers.
I don’t think we’re “very good” by any means as we have too many lapses in coverage and our pass rush has been really weak but we’re at least average.

Those calls are consistent with how PI is officiated in the league. It’s BS, but that happens to every team. There’s no grand conspiracy theory at work here.

I have no problem with teams playing with intensity. I love intensity. However, there is a difference between playing with intensity and taking it too far, and the Lions take it too far. This may be time for Goodell to step in and meet wit this team as a whole, not to fine or punish anyone, but to just talk to them for a while.
