Fantasy Football Week 14: Will Ryan Grant Have A Big Game?

As I wrote about in my preview of the Sunday's game for the Green Bay Packers, the Raiders have a terrible run defense. Here's how the Raiders did last week against the Dolphins leading rusher.

Rush Yards Avg TD Rec Yards Avg TD
Reggie Bush 22 100 4.5 1 0 0 0 0

Yep, Bush looked like a legitimate starter while rushing against them. While that wasn't Bush's first 100 yard game of the season, it was the first time in four weeks that he'd average over 4 yards per carry in a game. The Raiders were certainly a part of his success.

There hasn't been a break out performance by Ryan Grant yet this season, but this has to be his best opportunity. WIth James Starks out, there will be more carries for Grant against the Raiders. But Grant will again be splitting carries with Brandon Saine, so he won't be a work horse. He'll have to make big plays out of the chances he'll get.

Without RG Josh Sitton, and the season ending injury to TE Andrew Quarless, the run blocking won't be at their best. Grant had 13 carries last week against the Giants, and he should get at least that many again on Sunday. I don't think that's enough to make him a viable starting option for any fantasy team, but this should be his best game of the season.
