Thursday Night Open Thread: Jaguars at Falcons

JACKSONVILLE, FL - AUGUST 19: Quarterback Matt Ryan #2 of the Atlanta Falcons attempts a pass during a game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at EverBank Field on August 19, 2011 in Jacksonville, Florida. (Photo by Sam Greenwood/Getty Images)

Try staying awake during this game: I double dog dare you. This is the third time the Jaguars have been on national TV this season for some unknown reason. It wasn't like they were good last year.

Something for Packer fans to watch is that the Jaguars have a couple wide receivers out with injuries, and former Packer practice squad member Chastin West should get some playing time. But you won't see former Packer Aaron Kampman, who's been placed on I.R. Apparently GM Ted Thompson made the right call when he didn't re-sign him after the 2009 season. Kampman's only played in 11 games in the past two seasons, and he's not expected back with the Jaguars in 2012.

At least the Falcons are good, and their receivers are good for fantasy owners. While the Jaguars pass defense has played well this season, their cornerbacks are all injured and they've been forced to sign street free agents to come in and start.

Whatever, he seems to only catch 1 or 2 a game.

Assuming he sticks with that production level, I can make up for 6 points.

So is anybody else watching the game?

I’m in a pub where they have the game on one friggin’ TV and it’s full of a buncha dumb college kids going “WOoOoooooo!!!” with every Budweiser they chug, so don’t have the best view.
Hell, if nobody’s watching, at least have some funny pics, or puppies, or sammiches. I need to be entertained
