I have read on JS that Graham Harrel has been promoted to the squad in light of Quarless to the IR. Why a QB and not a linebacker, DB, or Oline?
I'd have to guess that it comes down to the Packers needing a backup QB once Rodgers sits second halves of games (or more?) weeks 16 and 17 or so. And to the notion that Harrel's promotion is insurance against Flynn leaving next year, the only way that matters for Harrel to be promoted is if Harrel is expected to play in NFL games. Any other ideas?
