How's It Going For The Raiders As They Prepare To Face The Packers?

Oakland Raiders NFL Report Card Week Thirteen: Raiders are Humiliated in South Beach - SB Nation Bay Area. The grades were bad for the Raiders after they turned in their embarrassing loss to the Dolphins last Sunday. There was no bright spot in that game.

Raiders vs. Dolphins Unveils an Undeniable and Persistent Weakness - Silver And Black Pride. A big reason for why the Raiders played so badly was that they got pushed around. This seems likely based on the bad rushing performances they turned in on offense and defense.

Raiders vs. Packers: Playing Against Aaron Rodgers Gives Carson Palmer Chance to Prove His Value - SB Nation Bay Area. The one thing that can be said for Carson Palmer is that he's been wildly inconsistent. His first game against the Chiefs was a disaster because he'd been with the team for less than a week. In his five starts, he's either been below average (Broncos, Chargers, Dolphins) or very good (Chargers, Vikings).

The Explosive Four not at practice | Raiders Silver and Black Blog | an SFGate.com blog. But Palmer is playing with some second string players. Arguably their top four playmakers were unavailable for practice on Wednesday.

Raiders appropriately misfire after letting McClain play - NFL - Sporting News. And the Raiders appear to be losing it with their decision to play Rolando McClain three days after he was accused of firing a gun to threaten an individual.

perfect game

I love when players/coaches say they have to play a perfect game against us, which is what Jackson said today.

Terrible mindset. If they have one mistake they feel like it’s over.

Would like to see us stop the run for once, then make Carson beat us.

Actually, would just like to see some pressure from DE/DT’s. That’s it.

Yea I think there needs to be 8 in the box...

Until Palmer shows that he can be a threat.

Perfect Game?

Yeah, the perfect game plan is to get some nasty scrubs in, and try to injure as many Packers as possible during the first series. Ain’t happening. As long as ARod stays clean, we win. The game they can consistently knock him down is the day we lose. Neither Detroit nor the Giants could pull it off, so the Raiders ain’t gonna. In the playoffs, the only dangers are the 49ers’ and the Ravens. 19-0 is looking more and more likely.

Last loss to the Raiders was 9/13/1987

We have not lost a game IN Oakland since 10/24/1976, though we did lose at Los Angeles on 9/9/1984.

That 1987 loss was Don Majkowski’s first game with the Pack. I’m guessing he entered the game because Randy Wright threw three INTs.

Palmer's nickname in Cincy

was pick-six Palmer. Packers’ secondary forces a damn amount of turnovers. I bet 3 ints by Palmer. Considering he cannot move outside the pocket, the real problem is the pretty good Raiders o-line. Once inside, get to Palmer won’t be a challenge.

What's up with Neil?

Is he going to play this year?

Not gonna lose this one

Raiders ain’t gonna do it. Raiders are in disarray. KC? Well, they beat Caleb Hanie. We get Caleb again, as well. Nice kid, kind of sad what he has had to deal with. The only worrisome game is Jan 1 against the Lions. They will be playing with no regard for rules, as they will have nothing to lose. Sooey will be redhot angry, looking to pull every dirty stunt he can to inflict injury. It’ll be cold, and probably nasty, limiting the pass. Very dangerous game.
As for Mike Neil – took up a roster spot, now has played in three games. Any stats? Any kudos? Why did TT and MM waste a spot on him? Loyalty is good, winning is better.
