Just a question about Al Harris
I really feel bad that Al Harris did everything that he did for Green Bay, only to have everything that happen to him right before they go on to win the Super Bowl. Not saying anybody did anything wrong, just the wrong time for him to get injured, go on IR, then be placed on PUP list untill half way through the season, and be cut. Obviously the Packers where right considering he got picked up by Miami, only to go down to injury again. Question is (and I think I know the answer) he doesn't get anything for being part of the team for 1/2 the season albeit on PUP list, does he? I'm pretty sure he won't, but it would have been nice for him to be recognized for everything he did before hand.

Not exactly sure on this
But I believe you have to be with the team for at least 6 weeks of the Regular Season to get a ring. For those cut, I think the team does have the choice to send a couple more their way as a nice gesture for their contributions. I think that is all the case, but I’m not exactly sure. I too think it would be nice to send a ring to Al Harris.

I hope they send him one. He was a great Packer. On a side note, its sad Aaron Kampman won’t get a ring. He busted his butt for years up here…
It's up to the team if he gets a ring
They have 150 to distribute however they wish. I bet he gets one.
13.
Not so sure
I’m not so sure that Al would accept a ring. While he worked tirelessly to rehab, he never played a down on the field. I’m sure Al was quite disappointed and angry at being released after thinking he’d be activated, but I think he’ll be a member of the Packer community in the future, hopefully the Packer Hall of Fame. I think Al’s pride will keep him from accepting a ring that he’ll feel he didn’t contribute to, in the same manner that John Kuhn spoke about the value of his Pittsburgh ring as a member of the practice squad versus winning a ring with the Packers on the field.
Al Harris...
…helped in the development of Tramon Williams. I am sure Al would take the ring, and he knows what he did for this team.
I think he deserves one for his work with the youth on the team, and for his absolutely hardcore example he sent in trying to come back from his injury. Unfortunately he didn’t play but his contribution was felt on those around him and he deserves it. I hope he can get one, even if he refuses to accept it.

Good question
The Colts sent a ring to Edgerin James even though he was already gone a whole season before they won it. The Packers should definitely give one to Al.
In fact, even if they have to buy another ring, the story would get picked up by all the writers and it would be good PR for the Pack. So, it’s even in their self-interest to do the right thing here, is what I’m saying.
As far as Kampman… myeh… I don’t know. That would be going a little more above and beyond, but I could see it. Championships don’t come along every day, and it’s important to do the right thing. I mean, aren’t the Packers a non-profit organization anyway? I say spend the money.
I wonder what Jaguars fans
and Gene Smith and Jack Del Rio would think of Aaron Kampman getting a Super Bowl ring. I’m not 100% positive they would be ok with it.

Jacksonville?
Eff that city and that franchise. They don’t deserve football there, and they wouldn’t have much credibility if they criticized a player for accepting a Super Bowl ring.
2010 Super Bowl Champions, the Green Bay Packers!
B.J. Raji is My Hero.
If the fans feel they
needed to draft Tim Tebow to reenergize their own fanbase, then they really don’t deserve a franchise. Just move to LA and be done with it. This Jacksonville experiment has gone on long enough.

As much as I like Kampman, he was kind of a negative impact on the locker room last year. He never got on board with the defensive change, and at times, vocalized that publicly.

Kampy
Really, I thought Kampman took it the right way. He wasn’t for it, that was known, but he didn’t make an issue of it through the media. He said he’d do what was told of him. You can’t fault a guy for not liking a system, but at least he kept his displeasure of it under wrap. I don’t know if that’s enough to warrant sending him a ring, but I would be ok with it. Kampy did spend some good years with us and was a great influence in the community. So I would support sending him a ring. I don’t think Jacksonville would have an issue with it, nor would they have any say in it either.

I don’t know that I agree. He was a bad fit and it didn’t work for him but I thought for how often he was asked for his opinion he did a great job of not trashing the team for the change. He COULD have been a vocal opponent of it but he really wasn’t. I won’t pretend to know what he was like in the locker room though…

No to Kampman
Kampman left via free agency. Harris was released after trying to recover from injury. Huge difference. Kampman is a great guy, but in no way, shape or form was he a Packer at the start of the 2010 season. No way Kampman merits a ring; no way the Packers give him one.
Is it too sentimental
To ask for a ring to be given to Ahman Green? I really liked him.
that would be like
giving Darren Sharper a ring.
I dispense B.S. and facts. It is up to you to figure out which is which.

Give him a ring to make up for the one he didn't win here in Omaha for the UFL.
I felt bad for him. He was running behind a crap line and didn’t get much space to do anything.
