Preseason opponents: @Cle, vs. Ari, @Ind, & vs. KC
Aug. 11-15 (time TBA)
at Cleveland Browns
TV: WFRV (GB)/WTMJ (Mil)/WKOW (Msn)/WAOW (Wau)/WXOW (La C)/WQOW (E C)/WJMN (Esc, MI)

The Browns are going to be taking a preseason tour of the NFC North, also playing the Det Lions at home week two & travel to Chicago to end the preseason. The third week (the most meaningful week) they face the Eagles at the Linc. This is a common preseason opponent (presumably due to the Holmgren connection), this marks the 3rd year in a row they've opened against each other and the Packers look to exact revenge for last year's week one preseason game, which the Packers lost 27-24.
Aug. 18-22 (time TBA)
vs. Ari Cardinals (Gold pkg.)
TV: WFRV (GB)/WTMJ (Mil)/WKOW (Msn)/WAOW (Wau)/WXOW (La C)/WQOW (E C)/WJMN (Esc, MI)
Midwest Shrine Game
GB will be the easternmost (and only non-AFC West) team they will play in the preseason, with tilts at Oakland Coliseum to begin, playing at Lambeau, and ending with home games against the SD Chargers & Den Broncos. This is the only game that's not a xerox of last year's preseason (instead played the Sea Seahawks in preseason week two of '10), though they were the final opponent of the 2009 preseason.
Aug. 26 (7 p.m.)
at Ind Colts
TV: CBS

This is a repeat of last year's preseason week three game. This, too, will be a nationally televised game, like last year, but will be on CBS rather than ESPN. If you recall, we trounced them 59-24, and dominated the game. Manning was clearly upset at the way the game played out, so much so that he came out in the 2nd half to try to have a good drive. That probably only added to the suffering, as on the 4th play, Zombo had a sack-fumble, which was recovered by Francois & returned to the 2 yard line (punctuated by a Flynn TD pass to Kuhn on the next play). They will play at StL Rams, vs. Was Redskins, and their only AFC opponent in the final game at Cin Bengals.
Sept. 1-2 (time TBA)
vs. KC Chiefs
TV: WFRV (GB)/WTMJ (Mil)/WKOW (Msn)/WAOW (Wau)/WXOW (La C)/WQOW (E C)/WJMN (Esc, MI)
Bishop’s Charities Game
Week one will be a nationally televised game on Fox that pairs two of last year's big surprise teams in a game at Arrowhead vs. the TB Buccaneers. Week two will be a meaningless rematch of the Wild Card game where they fell to the Bal Ravens 30-7. They host their cross-state rival week three, the StL Rams, in a Battle for Missouri.

KC comes to GB for the final Pre-Season game
Looks like we will see you twice this season and for the 2nd straight preseason.
2nd straight preseason
It’s gonna be more than that.
The league determines all but one preseason opponent for each team, leaving it up to the teams to schedule that one.
The Packers last year opted out of an agreement with the Titans for that one game after facing them somewhere in the neighborhood of eight straight years (I think, though that number might be wrong), and reached a like agreement, until further notice, with the Chiefs.

I tend to feel the same way about the Chiefs....
though I don’t know why. Seem like a good ole’ Midwest team

Same. I was rooting for them against Baltimore. I like their team, and I think they’re going to be good for quite a while with the young core they have.

Especially if Jamaal Charles carries a bit more
Brewers, I'm planning on sending you the bill for the heart disease you'll eventually give me. Packers, you're on notice.

Yeah, I don’t get why he didn’t carry the load all season this past year.

He'll breakdown if used too much.
And lose effectiveness. I don’t think he can handle the #1 RB duties. He needs someone to carry the load, a good power back. That allows Charles to do his thing and stay fresh for his limited role! He’s not a big guy.
You've been Stroh'd™!!!
Yeah, you could be right. I just went and looked and saw that he’s 5’11" 200 lbs. That is a bit undersized. I don’t know, maybe they shouldn’t use him as a featured back but I think he needs to touch the ball more for them.

He's the exact same size as Chris Johnson

I think his point is that no one is talking about Chris Johnson breaking down and he’s 5’11, 191 lbs yet Charles is 5’11 and 200 lbs and the point was being made that he’s too small to handle the load. I think Tepo had a point. That said, Chris Johnson might be the norm. Not many guys his size can handle the load.
The Green Bay Packers...Putting bad coaches out of their misery since 2010
There are a ton of similarities in history, the fans, the area (though KC is way bigger), the game experience.
I went to a KC/Oakland game years ago and felt at home…though those damn Raider fans are intimidating (unlike Viking/Bear fans…who are just more unruly). The city is blue collar, hard working manual labor type of people who live simple lives. The stadium is classic and outdoors. There is tons of tallgating. The team has a rich tradition dating back to the foundation of the league. Fans are very loyal in good and bad times. It might as well be the AFC version of the Packers.

How many times in a row have they made our depth look awful?

Ahem
pre-season games don’t count*.
(unless, of course, you have to play Allen Barbre at T, in which case, you are already dead)
