NFC North Division Roundup
The biggest story in the NFC North last week was the news that the Minnesota legislature adjorned without passing a stadium bill which placed the Vikings future in doubt. This situation is far from resolved, but it's not the done deal it seemed like when the Vikings held their press conference back on May 10th.
Vikings Officials Meet With Los Angeles Officials...Gee, I Wonder What That Could Be About - Daily Norseman. It's been reported that the meeting was about development at the Arden Hills site, but it wouldn't be surprising if the topic of L.A. was discussed too.
Christian Ponder Did Not Have It Easy - Daily Norseman. We'll really have to wait at least a couple seasons to see if the Vikings made a mistake with Ponder. But hope springs eternal in the meantime. So far, he reminds me a lot of ex-Packer QB Brian Brohm, which would obviously be a disaster for the Vikings.
Will The Bears Grab a "Julius Peppers" For The Other Line This Year? - Windy City Gridiron. The Bears remade their defensive line with Peppers last season, but it doesn't look like they'll make a big splash to do the same on the offensive line.
Matthew Stafford's Recovery Is 'Off The Charts' - Pride Of Detroit. I expected Stafford to fully recover from his latest season ending injury. The key for him will to remain healthy going forward.
Ask POD: What Are The Chances Of The Lions Signing Nnamdi Asomugha? - Pride Of Detroit. Obviously they'd love to have him in Detroit, but it doesn't seem likely.

has as much chance of happening in Green Bay as the Packers have of being packed up and moved to Los Angeles. :)

since they didn’t draft a Matt Flynn later in the draft, just in case. :)

So why be in talks with LA people if they have no intention of moving?
Unless said L.A. people was Roland Emmerich and his crew and they want to make a disaster movie based on the Vikings 2010 season.

You don't think Ponder will pan out and become one of the leagues best?
Clearly then, you must be an idiot, just like anyone else who doubts the Vikings.
Leagues best? No...
but pan out? I do… I think he’ll become a fairly good starting NFL QB. Had him as my #2 or 3 QB in the draft. Behind Gabbert and on par with Locker.
You've been Stroh'd™!!!
A few weeks back, DN ran a photo of Ponder
and some anonymous receiver playing catch at the Coliseum in Los Angeles. The story was titled “A look at the future of the Minnesota Vikings,” or something to that effect.
I found that to be somewhat ironic.
