PrintGreen Bay Packers TE Tom Crabtree is one of the best blocking tight ends in the NFL, and one of the most outspoken players on the team. He practically lives on Twitter. So if there was a player willing to start a one-man road show with his Super Bowl ring, I'm not surprised that it's him. Video from WBAY (via ESPN):
Crabtree announced via Twitter that he was heading to Bay Park Square Mall. "I'll be the tattooed freak with a Super Bowl ring on lol," Crabtree tweeted.
As Michelle Tuckner of WBAY-Ch. 2 chronicled, Crabtree doesn't have a lot of arm space left for new tattoos. But the lockout gave him plenty of time to roam the mall in a low-key and fun way. Crabtree mingled with fans, encouraged them to try on the ring and explained the significance of the design.
How cool would have been to just be casually out somewhere, and have a chance to try on a Super Bowl ring?

What a great thing to do!
I can tell you now that any of our Australian premiership winners in any of the football codes would not do anything like this, which is a shame.
An all-round good bloke like Crabtree whould be acknowledged more often.

Its cool if its a Packers’ Superbowl Ring…. I mean if it were a VIKINGS’ Superbowl ring, well then that…. oh wait, ha ha silly me… there’s no such thing as a Vikings’ Superbowl Ring…
