I expected the Green Bay Packers to be aggressive once the market for undrafted free agents was open, and it looks like that's the case. According to ESPN, teams were able to start signing them Monday night.
I'm not sure where he's getting his great information, but Mac's Football Blog is tracking all the signings. As I'm writing this, the Packers have signed KR Antoine Smithson from Utah, WR Tori Gurley from South Carolina, DL Marc Schiechl from Colorado School of Mines (really?), and LB Jamari Lattimore from Middle Tennessee State.
Antoine "Shaky" Smithson is apparently a very good punt returner, and the Packers could certainly use help on returns.
Tori Gurley is a tall wide receiver at 6-4, and the Packers don't have a lot of receivers like him at the moment, which could be something to his advantage.
UPDATE: An earlier report had that the Packers signed Schiechl, but he signed with the Jaguars instead. Marc Schiechl was a Division II sack machine, and someone the Packers showed interest in before the draft. He might be one to watch for during the first preseason games.
Jamari Lattimore is not a big player at 6-3, 226 lbs. but he had 11.5 sacks last season. I always like to see them go after another pass rusher.
