Moves and Signings Around the NFC North
Here are some of the big moves and signings that have gone down over the last 36 hours or so in the NFC North.
Chicago Bears:
They signed highly-discussed undrafted free agent Dane Sanzenbacher, WR, Ohio State.
They also are showing interest in WR/KR/Wildcat QB Brad Smith from the Jets.
Detroit Lions:
They're ready to release WR Bryant Johnson. That's the biggest story out of Detroit today. It was a rather quiet day for Lions news.
Oh wait. They're also signing K Dave Rayner. Yeah, the same Dave Rayner that kicked for Green Bay in 2006. Good luck with that.
Minnesota Vikings:
Reportedly agreed to a trade for Redskins' QB Donovan McNabb - pending restructuring of McNabb's contract
Agreed to a contract with former Bears WR Devin Aromashodu (who's in the running for best last name in the NFL). Ted Glover is very excited, as you can tell.
Former Vikes QB Tarvaris Jackson agreed to terms with the Seattle Seahawks.
And finally, Seattle's involved with another NFC North player, as they appear to be ready to drop some cash on Sidney Rice.
A list of notable undrafted free agent signings is coming up after the jump.

YES!
That is great news. I think he’s one of those “you don’t know what you had til he’s gone” kinda guys!

It's true it's a good thing he's locked up
So who do you all think is next? Kuhn? Jones? Colledge?

Dave Rayner
He’s not gonna stick with the Lions as long as J Hanson shows he’s healthy.
"Aw, people can come up with statistics to prove anything, Kent. Forfty percent of all people know that."
If he's healthy, you're right.
But I think that’s a big if. Hanson’s 41, and while kickers can seemingly play forever (Morten Andersen anyone?), the ones that have didn’t suffer major injuries towards the ends of their careers.

Whatever.
They have Suh if Hanson gets hurt again. He won’t miss a second time.

LOL
"It's a great day to be great, baby!"
"Here I am, brain the size of a planet,
and they ask me to pick up a piece of paper.
You call that job satisfaction?
'Cause, I don't."
The Munsters of the Midway still suck!
Nice write up tex!
You know I don’t see anything in these transactions that close the gap between the Packers and their division foes.
Although it is clear that MN is desperately trying to put something together for the short term again instead of taking it on the chin for a year or two and then building something really special. Some teams will never learn.
Ohhh.... imagine if...
… he wins the Superbowl or MVP… OMG Viking fans will be buildings funeral pyres and leaping in them in droves!
