Cheesestradamus Recap: Week -3

Sorry for the late write-up on this week's Cheesestradamus contest. I would have had it up over the weekend, but I was busy curling in Indiana and didn't have a chance to get to a computer until Monday. In any case, here's the rundown of the APC community's predictions for the Packers-Cardinals game last Friday.

UPDATE: I somehow missed that C.J. Wilson tied for the lead in tackles by a DL, so I had to update the standings accordingly. This week's winner is robert st with 11, followed by Kquaken, OBrienSchofieldismyhero, and sicklebeat, who all tied with 9 points. All in all, it was a down week, as the total number of points awarded dropped from 366 to 294 (I had to award almost 100 additional points because of my C.J. Wilson oversight). Click here for the full Preseason standings, and here are your standings for this week and the top few players overall. A breakdown of the results will be after the jump.

Overall Standings:

Rank User Name Total Points
1 robert st 23
T-2 Kquaken 15
T-2 unclemoxie 15
T-5 AdamA 14
T-5 HankO 14
T-5 NTramon 14

I know I didn't score any points...

…but you could at least have spelled my name right.

Sorry about both of those errors, guys.

Everything is updated to reflect the changes. But when I updated, the format of the article went all haywire on me…so…I’ll try to fix it in a bit.

Must be a broken of unclosed tag

that usually does it.

Boom.

Thanks for the reminder, I edited everything in a hurry this morning before work and missed a few tags. All better now.

Two things Texwestern
  1. - I think I only had five points on this week, not eight.
  1. - With my bonus, had I specified that the Packers would have that 50+ yard touchdown, would that have been good enough?

Thanks for the honesty there.

1a. You’re right, and I fixed the spreadsheets. I think I counted your bonus before I realized that it was too high a probability and forgot to take the points off.

1b. Yes, that would have worked to have chosen only the Packers. By my calcs, that would be just below the cutoff, while including both teams pushes it above.

I'll gladly take a Week 2 Co-Championship!
