Packers No. 1 In ESPN's 2011 NFL Preseason Power Rankings

Stay connected for news and updates

It isn't worth anything once the games count, but ESPN ranked the Green Bay Packers No. 1 in their preseason rankings. From ESPN:

While other teams stockpiled free agents, the Packers stood pat. Are the defending champs still preseason favorites?

ESPN has answered their own question by ranking the Packers on top. It's notable that the next three teams, all ranked ahead of the Steelers (who might be a more natural fit at No. 2 since they just played in a Super Bowl), were three of the more active teams with recent free agent signings and with trades: Patriots, Eagles, and Saints. Is ESPN ranking teams higher just because they made some moves?
