PrintThe Packers beat the Detroit Lions today, by a score of 45-41. Matt Flynn had 6 TD and 1 INT. Matt Flynn had an extremely high passer rating. Matt Flynn is a beast. 'Course, you probably already know this, but I need to get this thread to 150 words before it can be posted.
Anyways, tonight the freakin' Dallas Cowboys take on the freakin' New York Giants in a crucial game. This game can be considered a fifth playoff game for fans of both these teams, as the loser will be eliminated from playoff contention.
Anyways, the Giants are slightly favored, and really should have locked this playoff spot up two freakin' weeks ago, had they not lost to the lowly Washington Redskins.
My prediction for the game? 35-24, Giants. Packer fans should probably be cheering for the Cowboys, though, as the Giants are the lone cold-weather NFC team in the playoff race.

If you watched the game, Flynn made a number of beautiful throws under pressure that few QB’s in the NFL could make. Although, you have the intelligence of a mentally handicapped kangaroo, so I doubt you can comprehend any arguments at all.

there were several plays that I looked at and went
‘Rodgers would have made that throw’, or ‘Rodgers would have known better than to try that throw’ or ‘Rodgers wouldn’t have taken that sack’.
As good as he was, Rodgers is exponentially better, and I laugh when people don’t appreciate that

It is kind of a joke...
because it shouldn’t factor into anything. But it will be a story.
The biggest thing that the story gets incorrect is that it assumes that a backup is not very good, so that there must be some other excuse for success, like “system” or whatever. Maybe Flynn is just that good.

Brees uses your system just like Rodgers uses Mikes system. Rodgers is more diverse in what he can do, ergo Brees is the more “system QB”. And we all saw you guys running up the score and padding Brees stats these last two games. And you mentioned that running up the score and padding your stats is wrong too.

On RG3, what is your (anyone) opinion on how he will be as an NFL qb?
I really have not seen enough of him. From what I have seen, he throws a nice catch able ball but I did not observe his mechanics so much.

He'll be alright.
Kinda like Cam, but he needs a couple years to grow into the NFL. Take this with a grain of salt, but he can ‘run like Vick, and throw like Brees’. That speaks a lot about his potential. Combine that with him being accepted into law school [smart kid], and I think he’ll be the next big thing around the NFL, like Cam Newton. Really, if he could come to Green Bay and let McCarthy tutor him for two years, then go off to some team would be the best way for him to become a great quarterback. Of course, that won’t happen, but he needs to sit a learn a bit, or learn on the fly like Cam is doing in Carolina.

Yeah, the extra year in college could help him.....
but he’s making the right choice coming out this year with Barkley staying at USC. He should be the clear #2 QB taken. Can’t pass that up. I like the guy a lot and really hope he doesn’t end up wasting away at some team that can’t utilize him.
Gotta admit that Carolina did a fantastic job with Cam and really set him up for success in the future and I hope the same happens for RGIII if his playing style ends up being similar. I don’t think Luck will have any issues cause I’m pretty sure he’ll go to Indy and sit behind Manning for at least a year. And after that, the rest of the drafted QBs should go to a little bit better teams.

Cam has unique arm strength, like Cutler, Stafford, Rodgers, Favre, etc. once every few years kind of arm strength.
That being said, RG3 is more athletic than Cam also.
