The Packers Organization Struggles With The Philbin Family's Loss

Packersnews.com | Green Bay Packers | Insiders Blog " Lambeau somber amidst reports. That pretty much sums it up.

540 ESPN Milwaukee - 01/09/12 Packers 'family' faces tragic loss. A great article by Jason Wilde giving some background on Joe Philbin.

McCarthy: Impressive victory for Giants. The title is off topic, but Kevin Seifert pointed out how Mike McCarthy is struggling through his press conference. He's obviously distracted, and I was watching and wishing the five minute session would have ended after the first minute.

Unfortunately it's crossed my mind that this could be a continuing distraction. It's likely that everyone involved with Green Bay Packers will have this event on their mind to some extent as they face the Giants. But I've got no idea how this will affect the game one way or another on Sunday.

This won’t be a distraction but something that will galvanize this group to do something, to put a smile on a face, for a man that has clearly lost something so close to his heart.

Don’t worry Joe, you take of yourself and your family, we’ll take care of the rest and finish what we started, what we came for, and we’ll do it for you and your family.

I wouldn’t want to be the Giants right now.

Took the winds out of my sail...

I hope we win Sunday, but now I’m feeling kinda meh about it. Almost indifferent … Hopefully my blood gets boiling again by Sunday…

Looking forward to the Packers three-peating and visiting President Ron Paul at the White House in 2013

Please pass along my heartfelt feelings

to coach Philbin and his family . I can’t even begin to know how awful this must be

A successful coach needs a patient wife, loyal dog, and great quarterback - and not necessarily in that order.
