Please remember that any time you spend on the APCOT's is entirely voluntary. Nobody is forcing you to be here.
If you were one of the people who rec'd the previous open thread to move it to the Recommended FanPosts section, please go back to that previous thread now and un-rec it. That way, the previous thread will move out of that section, and these won't be cluttering APC as much.

Giants much improved defense able to contain the packers offense for most of game until the fourth quarter when the packers score a TD with 2 minutes left to make the score 21 – 17 packers. Eli Manning leads his team to another come from behind victory with 1:50 minutes left and bring his team to the NFC Championship where they will face the 49ers at Candlestick Park.
At the NFC Championship the Giants win this game 31-7 as the Giants defense bottles up frank gore and sacks Alex Smith 6 times with many more knockdowns and QB hits. Smith is so rattled that he throws 4 picks all the the same player… PRINCE AMUKAMARA!!! He returns 1 for a TD to add insult to injury.
Eli and the Giants go to the super bowl where they will face… who else but Tim Tebow and the Broncos. Every analyst picks the Broncos because they are convinced Tebow is on a holy crusade against the NFL… but the Gmen win the super bowl 31-28 with Eli Manning leading the Gmen to the last come from behind victory of the Season earning the franchise their 4th super bowl victory :) (If only this dream could come true)

We’re no Atlanta. That’s like saying well beat Oakland 46-16 there fore we should beat you 45-21. 2 different teams, 2 completely different styles of football. Not to mention we are playing at home on a week of rest. I think the game will come down to whoever has the ball last and turnovers.

Not buying all the Ohio State love for next year...
I mean, really, I’m not. Their most effective rusher is gone, as is the only consistent receiver. Their offensive line was a rolling disaster that tried on a weekly basis to kill its QB, and their run defense was extremely pedestrian (51st nationally). Ohio State, a 6-7 team that looked absolutely inept at points last year, is the favorite to finish 1st in the division next season. I wish I was surprised by this, but I’m not.

I just wish people would think rationally about this situation.
No 7-6 team is ever expected to win its conference the following season unless the conference really, REALLY sucks. U$C at least was 10-2; they should figure heavily into the Pac-12 standings. Ohio State? Eh. They reminded me a lot of 2008 Wisconsin (with the penchant for shooting themselves in the foot, a horribly iffy OL, bad QB play, and all that).

I have to admit, I don’t really like the -core genres. Of course, I came into metal via progressive rock, so I’m definitely on the side of the more melodic and epic stuff (progressive, symphonic, folk, and power metal). Plus, a guitar or keyboard solo can make me jizz epicsauce.

I go to Lincoln Park or Edison Park if I'm actually going to Chicago to drink.
I have friends with apartments right next to bars/clubs in both places, so at last call, we just move the party a few hundred feet. Otherwise, I just go to various places around my place.
J’s in EP is definitely one of my favorites around here though. Not too expensive, and the staff is awesome.

Sad sad day for college football. I wish we could of at least gotten a 60 Minutes type of sit down interview for him to clear the air when it came to the whole scandal. I know from the beginning I was calling for him to step down, but I wanted at the end of the year.

It still sucks that everything happened in regards to the incidident at Penn State
He did everything but let the authorities know what happened. He did pretty much everything otherwise. I do hope the Big Ten does something to commemerate what he contributed not only to the Big Ten, but College Football in total. Do wish the Big 10 would re-add Paternos name to the Big Ten Championship Trophy, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they did for this coming season. RIP Joe Pa
