To Acmepackingcompany bloggers
I have a couple of things I want to say to all of you.
First kudos to a great season performance by the GB Packers- they came back and dominated after winning a Super Bowl. Usually teams comes back with the "super Bowl Hangover" but GB they never lost a step. They just came back and swallowed the entire NFL up - those guys scared the hell out of me this year from the day they won 5 games in a row!
As for all you fans - man I heard you guys were as passionate and loyal as they come, but I have to hand it to you all, you must also have a tough stomach - to come back on the blog site and talk about the aftermath not even a full 24 hr removed is pretty badass. To be honest, sometimes depending on the circumstance it takes me a week to get back on line after a Giant’s lost. The little bit I've interacted with Packer fans I have always encountered a classy, proud bunch. It’s not by chance the image of Cheeseheads is Iconic -you guys are the epitome of sports fandom at its best.
The other thing I wanted to comment on is about the Packers run last year. To me it reminded me of the Giants run a couple years earlier. No one picked them to make the playoffs, GB battled through adversity and like us, a wild card team went all the way and won the big Game! But that’s not the comparison I'm really getting to, what I really wanted to share was that from day 1 of preseason 2011, the Giants started to accumulate so many injuries. Once the season started we thought maybe we could move on and work with what we had, until the unthinkable, we lost more and more players. It was so bad, so many on BBV panicked, and cried to the Football Gods, why, why can't we catch a break? - But there were some of us who had hope, players and fans alike, who saw the light at the end of the tunnel, there was a blueprint, an already written story from beginning to the end that we could relate to, the perfect example laid out in place for us all, ...what was it you ask?
If the Green Bay Packers could overcome all those injuries, continue to play hard through such a depleted bench , and win the Super Bowl! - then maybe we too, still have a chance!
In final I respect who the Packers are, and because of their accomplishments, thank them for inspiring at best -the ny Giants at worst - their fans!!

Thanks for the post
There are definitely some benefits to facing real adversity in the regular season. So many players are motivated to step up their game in the face of adversity. It’s my opinion that when wins come easy, it’s human nature to relax a bit and lose your edge.
But, it’s tough to be too down as a Packers fan. We’re still the Super Bowl champs until another team wins it. I know opposing fans like to use the term over-rated as an insult, but it’s the truth with this year’s Packers and I don’t see it as a negative. Teams become over-rated when they pull out wins that look like they should be losses. How can that be a bad thing? The defensive problems on this team really should have resulted in a worse record than 15-1, but they overcame them throughout the regular season. The problems caught up to them in the playoffs. Combine that with the turnovers, and it’s not that shocking that the season is over.
part of being a real fan is being there through the good and bad times
you have to take the good with the bad. We won the Sb last year, and we wall went nuts and whatever. This year we didn’t, so as a fan you have to be able to roll with that as well. The Giants simply outplayed us, so they deserved the win.
I think a large part of it is optimism, we still gave a great team with a good, young core, we just got caught with a rusty offense and our porous defense. If it had been some Cinderella run that was ended, we’d probably be more upset, but we know this team is going to be a contender for a while

that's not a right.
But Anyways, because this is the last response to anything I’ve written here, I’m gonna go ahead and say I’ve had enough fun and that it’s not gonna be fun any more.
All I ever wanted to say was that Eli and the Giants should not be talked down and dismissed, and that frankly, about 4 of your hundreds strong community were a bit rude. In retrospect, it’s a shame that the handful ended up getting all my attention, I’m glad I gave you something to do recently; I genuinely hope that you carry no bad feelings with you.
It’s just s game we enjoy watching (and talking about.) Best wishes in everything.

The feeling is NOT mutual.
The rest of the GFans, I wish the best to. You, I hope you get hit by a bus. You’ve been one of the most disrespectful trolls I’ve ever seen. Leave and never come back.

This is one of the 5 or so reasons why I can't stand how APC is run.

your last paragraphs...
I think that is what makes this year tough to stomach. Last year we were missing a ton of players from the squad due to injury and yet we won it all. This year we were MUCH more healthy, dominated the regular season and pooped out in the playoffs…so weird how it all works. Any given Sunday though, right.
Thanks for the kind words. If you listened to the clan across the border you’d think we were the worst people on earth, but most other fans acknowledge that we are a pretty good group of fans who are passionate and loyal. Most of us are happy to acknowledge when our team was just plain beat (like we were last week).
Good luck this weekend…should be a really good game. Not sure who I think is going to win.
The Green Bay Packers...Putting bad coaches out of their misery since 2010
Repeating is something
That almost never happens for a reason. It’s beyond difficult. The Packers are going to be right there in years to come, so I wouldn’t worry much about it.
If anything, losing out this year after such a great season will provide that much more motivation going forward (in theory).
