2012 NFL Mock Draft: The Packers Still Drafting A Defensive Lineman
2012 NFL Mock Draft: New Trade Partner For Robert Griffin III - SBNation.com. It is interesting to see how high Robert Griffin III will fly up the draft board. I'm not too impressed with him, but I wasn't impressed with Cam Newton either, so what do I know.
Once again Mississippi State's DT Fletcher Cox was linked to the Packers. He's coming out early so he wasn't at the Senior Bowl. I'm still in support of drafting any defensive lineman who is big and strong, and got a motor to get after the quarterback. Elite pass rushing skills are not necessary.

I think the lesson for this year is it’s better to have too many pass-rushers (Giants) than too few. cough
Clearly, if you were GM, we would have more pass rushers.

One of these ad banners features Brett Favre.
C’mon, man.
A samurai sword collection. If you can do it. I don’t know if you’re allowed.

Paging Whitney Mercilus
Paging Whitney Mercilus. I know he’s only a junior, but from the film I saw, why isn’t he coming out?? And if TT lets Driver go, he’s crazy. The guy was money in the cold, while Finley had hands of stone!
Mercilus IS coming out...
And Driver had only 3 catches being covered by the Giants LB most of the time. Thompson would be wise to let Driver go, and I think he will…
Our Biggest Challenge is how we deal w/ Success!
Whitney will be a bust
I have no facts to back this up other than a feeling. He’s had one good season and two that he was basically a no-show. I think they’re better options for the Packers. I guess we have to wait and see. Yes, I know you could say the same thing about many NFL studs. They had one good college season and went on to be great in the NFL. Clay Matthews is one that come’s to mind. Like I said, just a feeling about Whitney.
Robert Griffin??
Wot?

I don't agree with "any defensive lineman who is big and strong"
Mike Neal is big and strong. We don’t need “any defensive lineman”, we need a guy that has the size and strength to set the edge, but has enough athleticism and tenacity to get upfield and pressure the pocket. BJ Raji is a great anchor for the line, and they have a strong pass rush on the other side with Matthews, so we need a 3-4 DE that can make an impact.
As an option 1b, if we could get a big upgrade at ROLB, with a guy that can really get upfield and pressure the QB, that would help as well, but I think the DE role is more important

don't know anything about him
but I assume he is a DT in a 4-3 and an end in the 3-4
