Joe Philbin Expected To Interview With The Dolphins

The other previously unnamed team that Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Joe Philbin is expected to interview with is the Dolphins.

Blog: #Dolphins reportedly set to interview #Packers OC Joe Philbin, who could also bring a QB with him http://t.co/zbLltVEg

I was asked last summer about Matt Flynn and the Dolphins. Miami was rumored as a possible trade partner for him. While Philbin's interview appears to be real, the Philbin/Flynn connection is only a rumor. But it makes a lot of sense to trade for a quarterback who already knows your new head coach's offense.

Wouldn't mind this at all.

That would be an ideal situation if both Flynn and Philbin were to leave. Both pieces to Miami. I’m totally on board with that. As mentioned in previous threads, Flynn and Philbin could potentially kick the Jets and Patriots respective asses four or more times a year. Despite my limited knowledge of AFC teams, I know that it’s a fact that when the Jets and Patriots lose, the other 31 teams in the NFL celebrate.

(Nitpick: ITYM the other 30 teams)

The Jets were mostly a non-factor this year, and it wouldn’t surprise me a bit if they falter even more next. To whatever extent Rex’s bluster was working for that team, I think it’s pretty much over now.

Well each of those teams would celebrate when the other loses...

so it could still be 31 other teams.

Me neither at first....

then I remembered my hatred for the VIkings and how much I celebrate even if both of our teams lose and assumed that it could work for the AFC East as well.

I did.

Understood he meant

when either of the Jets and Patriots lose
It was the only we he could have meant it that would be true, so I took it that way.

This would be an ideal situation for us…kinda like when the guy left the Pats for the Chiefs and brought Cassell with him. I would love to see this happen. I’d prefer to not see us lose any of our coordinators or coaches, but if we do hopefully he gives us some picks in a trade as part of him leaving!

I wonder if we would trade for players...

or draft picks. I just want Flynn to go somewhere he’ll be a successful starter. In other words, not Minnesota.

I'd rather just

see him go to any AFC Team, even the Jets.

Raiders now plan to hire Packers director of football operations Reggie McKenzie as their next general manager.

The Raider ORG has been a mutation,

either McKenzie changes it or he becomes a fungus himself.Anyone going to the Raiders leaves many with tears in their eyes… and not long after,in their own.
At least we will be increasing the team friendly trading scope.

with Al Davis gone, all bets are off

sure, there’ll be some lingering, shall we say, eccentricities, but there’s no reason it can’t be a whole new outlook in Oakland

For its effect on the Raiders organizarion,

the round trip move to LA can’t hold a candle to the death of Al.

That was under the old version of Davis. This is going to be McKenzie’s place to make his name. I think the fungus will die off. Great hire for the Raiders.
