The Steelers are favored by 9, but this could be a low scoring affair. I don't think Tim Tebow and his run first offense is going to fool the Steelers at all. But the Steelers offense is so banged up that they could get into the same funk that they were in during an ugly 20-3 loss to the 49ers back on December 19th.

The game clock stops when a ball carrier goes out of bounds maintaining forward momentum. The game clock continues if the ball carrier’s forward momentum is stopped in bounds before he goes out of bounds.
For most of the game, the clock is restarted when the line judge resets the ball and whistles play to continue. The exception is in the last 2 minutes of the first half or the last 5 minutes of the second half. In those cases, the clock does not start again until the offense snaps the ball.
Even out of bounds, they run the clock. Up until x number of minutes in the 4th quarter.

It's always such a waste to trade up that much
moving up 3-5 spots is fine, even ten if it’s you’re guy, but when you go that far, the reward is almost never worth the risk. The team is just going to demand too much, and unless the pick is an All-Pro, you’ve lost the trade.

Remember the GB game at Denver
several years ago — I think it was 2006. First play of overtime, Favre to Jennings, TD! One of my favorites because I attended that game.
One of my favorite games of all time

But it’s not as if they didn’t negotiate their way through a crap QB situation this year. You’re probably right that his delayed their ability to move forward with someone who’s not Tebow by a year, but I don’t think they see as much liability in that situation as many others do.

The way I see it
Tebow’s got a lot of athleticism and developing him as a QB this offseason is what the fans want. If you can do something with him – get his throwing motion or footwork fixed, for instance – you can start thinking of him as a workable starter for a few years. If he works hard and then starts to regress under pressure in real games, you can scrap that experiment and figure something else to do with the guy.
It’s an opportunity cost, but I think they’re seeing the potential upside as higher than losing one draft/FA period of trying to find a new QB in 2012.

I got called away when the OT period was about to start. I was a little bummed that I was going to miss the first ever OT period under the new rules and thought to myself “Well, at least I’ll get to see the first play.” Turned out I got to watch the entire OT period after all.

Play calling was An Issue for both teams there
But the crowd at MetLife destroyed any chance of Colonel Checkdown being able to audible into anything worthwhile. Between the noise and the pressure, Ryan was pure toast when it came to running his game. Meanwhile, Eli didn’t find his audible groove until the second half.
If the Giants fans want to take credit for that win, it’s well within their rights to do so. The 12th man was the difference all game long, even if it didn’t start paying dividends until Manning learned where Nicks was.
