Jason Pierre-Paul guarantees victory for Giants in Green Bay | ProFootballTalk. Oh Jason...

Packersnews.com | Green Bay Packers | Insiders Blog " What the Giants are saying about the Packers. If their players and coaches didn't believe they were going to win every week they probably aren't long for the NFL. I'm not surprised if some players are feeling so confident after a big win over the Falcons that they're being a bit more open than normal with the New York media.

JPP's comments reminds me of another playoff game

Though not against the Giants, this still makes me laugh.

One of my favorite games of all time!

Too bad it had to follow with one of my least favorite games of all time.

On Wisconsin!

I saw that one in person!

I just had to root for the Giants. I was so tired of New England. I went around shaking hands with Giants fans afterwards to thank them for beating the Patriots. 18-1.

haha, I thought Brady handled that one pretty well though.

I remember and I was there...

right at the end zone where Al Harris jumped after scoring on the interception! Great game!

…The Green Bay Packers advance! Touchdown, Al Harris!"

That was great that they caught that on TV

I remember thinking the young pup Hasselbeck was all pumped up from coming back to tie it late in the game.

If you're old enough

You may remember Fred “the hammer” Williaqmson guarantying the same for KC in SB I. Gale Gillingham hit him so hard, he left the field on a stretcher.

The Giants are the trendy pick this week

should be a great game, I’m nervous. just hope the Packers play their game and the defense doesn’t completely shit the bed

I am too drunk to taste this chicken.

by ThroughBeingCool on Jan 9, 2012 1:38 PM CST reply actions

I think it will be a good game...

apparently Rodgers has been extremely sharp in practice. I am hoping for a complete game.

by LombardiBackToGB on Jan 9, 2012 2:20 PM CST up reply actions

If the D

can contain the run, the safeties can play back and keep receivers in front of them forcing the Gnats to earn their wauy down the field increasing the likelihood of a mistake.

by glblank on Jan 9, 2012 6:54 PM CST up reply actions

I still have faith in our D

We can make big plays and hopefully get a bunch of turnovers. For the sake of my heart, just don’t allow Eli to make as many deep throws as last time.

And for the love of the cheese gods, cover Victor Cruz.

by CheeseHelmet on Jan 9, 2012 2:28 PM CST up reply actions

Hopefully they’ve been slacking all season and are going to UNLEASH our real D in the playoffs…wouldn’t that be fun? :-)

Any word on the OC's son?

That is the most terrifying thought as a parent. I hope the kid is ok.

So who are we rooting for in the other weekend games?

Probably 49ers, right?

As for the AFC, I’ll gladly put up with one more week of Tebowmania if it knocks the Patriots out of contention. I’m fine with either Baltimore or Houston winning.

by CheeseHelmet on Jan 9, 2012 3:11 PM CST reply actions   3 recs

Agree with you re: the AFC.

They haven’t had a non-New England, Indy, or Pittsburgh representative since 2003 (Oakland).

My wife is from Baltimore, so I’d like to see a Packer-Raven Super Bowl this year. My family are all Steeler fans, so I got bragging rights over them last year. Bragging rights over the in-laws this year would be sweet.

by MikeDB on Jan 9, 2012 3:46 PM CST up reply actions

I live in Baltimore

So I would like to see the Ravens-Packers also. If we win I will definitely be bragging to all of my friends for at least a few months. If we lose, I probably won’t show my face for a while haha.

by tmoneyttime1 on Jan 9, 2012 4:03 PM CST up reply actions

I grew up in GB, but live in Houston

so I think it would be awesome to see GB vs Houston in the Super Bowl.

Yeah, it would be

unfortunately I just don’t see TJ Yates bringing them that far. They have a tough matchup against the Ravens this weekend.

yes, exactly that

and if we can’t have that, an all-home win playoff season would be kinda novel

We'll be in GB.

Its only Monday and my heart is racing. Saturday is a nonevent. But my money is on Brees and the Aints comin to GB.

Coach Philbin.

Words cannot describe the sadness I have about his son. That is every parents nightmare.
