NFL Picks and Predictions: Week 6

Charles LeClaire-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

We start NFL Week 6 with a Thursday night game that's difficult to predi...oh nevermind.

It's Thursday, which means it's picks time, and this week Devin hasn't been left out. As always, you should take the opportunity to tell all of us how dumb we are in the comments.

Game Kevin Evan Devin
PIT vs. TEN PIT PIT PIT
OAK vs. ATL ATL ATL ATL
DAL vs. BAL BAL BAL BAL
CIN vs. CLE CIN CIN CIN
STL vs. MIA MIA STL MIA
DET vs. PHI PHI PHI PHI
IND vs. NYJ IND NYJ IND
KC vs. TB TB TB TB
BUF vs. ARI ARI ARI ARI
NE vs. SEA NE NE NE
NYG vs. SF SF SF SF
MIN vs. WAS WAS WAS MIN
GB vs. HOU HOU HOU GB
DEN vs. SD SD SD SD

Steelers vs. Titans: Tennessee's defense is baaaaaaaaad. Mike Wallace is good. With Mendenhall back, the Steelers have a legitimate running threat, and that's all they'll need against the Titans to win comfortably. -Tex

Raiders vs. Falcons: Every time you start believing in the Raiders, they ... wait, do Raiders fans even believe in the Raiders anymore? -Kevin

Cowboys vs. Ravens: We Packer fans should create a list of all the hyped teams from the offseason that have disappointed. Near the top of that list would be the Cowboys. Ravens wouldn't be on that list, by the way. -Devin

Bengals vs. Browns: In Ohio, you apparently can't have a soul if you want to play quarterback for an NFL team. Dalton is by far the better ginger QB and the Browns couldn't beat a terrible Buffalo team at home - I don't see them beating a solid Bengals team either. -Tex, who looks sort of gingerish.

Rams vs. Dolphins: I love the Rams pass rush, but with Danny Amendola out, I don't like their offense. Joe Philbin seems to have Ryan Tannehill playing within himself and managing games as best a rookie can. -Kevin

Lions vs. Eagles: The Lions look disorganized so far this year. It's a shame they come back from their bye and face an Eagles team that's on a roll. Really, this game may just come down to who plays the sloppiest ball, and in that sort of game I just like the Eagles. -Devin

Colts vs. Jets: The Jets and Colts have both been battered by injuries, and while the Colts haven't lost their best offensive playmaker, their pass rush will likely be hampered without Robert Mathis this week. I can see a bit of a letdown coming for Indy this week after their emotional win on Sunday. -Devin

Chiefs vs. Buccaneers: Chiefs fans have been berating Matt Cassell and calling for Brady Quinn for a long time. They're about to find out how misguided their views are. -Kevin

Bills vs. Cardinals: The Cardinals are riding a wave of good fortunate at the moment and looking to start a playoff push. The Bills are a team that could surprise them on this quest, but I don't see it happening. -Devin

Patriots vs. Seahawks: I really debated this one with myself for a while, but Wes Welker is the perfect kind of weapon to exploit the Seahawks' big, physical corners. Add in the fact that Bill Belichick will come up with some odd defensive schemes to confuse Russell Wilson and I can't pick against New England this week. -Tex

Giants vs. 49ers: I'm not gonna lie, I didn't bother to look back at the email chain to see if Tex and Devin actually picked San Francisco. I just assumed they did. And if they didn't, they're fired. -Kevin

Vikings vs. Redskins: Okay, this should be a good game. It's a team that lives by the big play against a team that can't get a big play to save their soul (outside of a great special teams play). In a matchup like that, I'll take the consistent team and roll with the Vikes. -Devin

Packers vs. Texans: I want to pick Green Bay really badly this week, but I've seen too many issues on the offensive line to think that they can block J.J. Watt with any regularity. There are some matchups that could be exploited in the middle of the defense with Brian Cushing out (Cobb, Finley), but Owen Daniels is just as much of a matchup problem for Green Bay. Houston is a much more complete team than Indianapolis, and I can't bring myself to pick the Packers this week. -Tex

Broncos vs. Chargers: I actually think both of these teams are overrated and stupid, but in a matchup between two overrated, stupid teams, I'm taking the one that's playing at home. -Kevin
