Bulaga's Finger Pointing

Bulaga has had a habit this season of immediately popping up and finger pointing at his defensive opponents who jump into the neutral zone. Bulaga has obviously been trying to draw offsides penalties by "flinching" when the defender jumps. Against the Rams, I thought Rodgers' 52 yard pass to Nelson would be called back because Bulaga came out of his stance a split second before the snap to point at the offside Ram. Replay clearly showed Bulaga moving prior to the snap. The refs could have called the play dead, but allowed the 52 yard completion. Later in the first half, Bulaga's defender jumped offsides again and Bulaga "flinched" and finger pointed. The refs blew the play dead, marked off five yards against the Rams. However, Bulaga cost Rodgers a "free" play to throw the ball downfield. I think Bulaga got the word at halftime to quit with the flinching and finger pointing, and to let the referees call the game. In the second half, Bulaga's opponent jumped one last time, and Bulaga remained rock steady in his stance, giving Rodgers that "free" play. I strongly suspect that Bulaga got some coaching at halftime to quit his efforts to draw a flag, depriving the Packers of a shot downfield.
