Remember the good old days from a few weeks ago? You know, the days when a Packers fan in tune with the team could name all eight members of the team's practice squad? Well, those days are gone, friends.
One week after signing Drew Vanderlin, the Green Bay native, the Packers have unceremoniously released him, as Rob Demovsky reported yesterday:
#Packers not only released Drew Vanderlin from the practice squad but also dumped G Chris Scott.

While Vanderlin, a defensive end, was a recent addition, Scott had been on the Packers practice squad since the start of the regular season. Shortly thereafter, Demovsky reported that the Packers filled one of those practice squad slots by signing defensive tackle Jordan Miller, who spent the majority of the 2011 season on the Chicago Bears' practice squad.
Ted Thompson wasn't done. Today, the following transactions were reported by Tyler Dunne:
#Packers sign G Justin Cheadle (Cal) and RB DuJuan Harris (ex-Jaguars) to the practice squad. Diondre Borel placed on practice squad/injured

Cheadle had been on the Kansas City Chiefs' practice squad earlier this year. As Tyler noted, Harris was previously a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars' organization. He played in five games last season, carrying the ball nine times for 42 yards.
Borel must have suffered yet another setback, and he will sit out the year on Injured Reserve. There currently are few details available on Borel's injury.
The active practice squad now sits as follows:
TE Brandon Bostick
G Justin Cheadle
QB B.J. Coleman
T Andrew Datko
RB DuJuan Harris
DT Jordan Miller
CB James Nixon
WR Jeremy Ross
