A stat of consistent success that blew my mind

50 games.

That's how many regular season games the Green Bay Packers have gone without a defeat by more than one score. I did a quick Google search, and couldn't find the NFL record for that, but I would imagine it's approaching rarefied air.

The last time they lost by more than eight points? November 8, 2009 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 38-28. More than THREE YEARS AGO. Only 22 players from that roster remain on the current 53-man team.

To me, this is such a great reflection of sustained success, week-in and week-out. Kudos to the coaching staff to have this squad competing every week, in position to win every single game, regardless of the opponent.
