Open thread for the Monday Night game between the Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers.
At last, the Bears get to face the 49ers. Although, both starting quarterbacks are injured for this one.
This may well be one of the best games of the year. Expect a low-scoring, hard-fought defensive battle in this one. The Bears lost in a rainstorm at Soldier Field last week to Houston, 13-6, while the 49ers tied with the St. Louis Rams in San Francisco. The last time these teams met, in 2009, Jay Cutler threw five interceptions in a 10-6 loss in San Francisco.
This game has the added subplot of that if the Bears lose, the Packers will suddenly find themselves leading the NFC North division.
