Howdy all you Pack fans, yes once again it is time for the our two teams to meet up on the grid iron. Kind of exciting isn't it? After tough losses for both of our teams it looks like this weekend is going to sign redemption for one of them. Currently, I would say pretty much everyone has the Pack inked to win this one and honestly I can't really say much against that. Your team is pretty solid with Rodgers flinging the ball and with the reappearance of Jennings I think it's going to be a tough match for us to win against.
Of course being the always optimistic fan that I am I do have to ask how many of your defensive unit are going to be coming back for this game. I have a distinct feeling Ponder would be happier playing without Woodson roaming the back field for sure. Now, lets talk turkey (bit late for T-day but hey!) We have suffered when playing better defensive units this year as our QB is still working on his training wheels and Musgrave seems to have a hard time calling more than one run for AD a quarter. If however we can come out and play a solid game with our run leading the way (and Woodson out) I think we have a chance of putting up some points on you. This of course brings us to the defensive side of our game. Well in reality the good news is we can probably stop your run, and against Detroit we used cover 2 pretty well (much like the Giants did against you) to put a stop to Stafford and that receiver of theirs.
Ok, now the bad news. You just came off a loss and you'll be looking for blood. Our best cover corner is also out and that leaves a rookie CB, a guy we pulled from Arizona and Winfield who while he hits like a truck graduated the same year Woodson did (or close) Safety wise our rookie hitter picked up a concussion last week so we're heading in a bit soft there as well. Finally the d line which made QB's cringe last season hasn't been the force we're used to and i just don't see them getting to Rodgers very often even with your dilapidated line.
So what do you all think will happen this Sunday? A unmitigated blow out like last year (sigh) a semi close game with you winning or an upset with the Vikes pulling it of their collective backsides? You can probably guess which one I'm looking forward too.
Well here's the thread to talk smack, inquire about the team and generally make fools of ourselves. Good luck, hope you lose and here's to neither side suffering seriousl injuries (boy felt bad taking 5 Bear players out of the game last week.. ok not THAT bad..)
Vikes 28 Pack 27 in a crazy upset for the ages!!!
