Let's face it, the only way we're going to improve our running game is drafting a RB next year. . .

Simply put, our running game isn't very good. Partially it's becuase of our line, partially, it's becuase of injuries, partially it is the play calling. There are many various reasons why but I tend to think of just one thing...

Our running backs simply aren't that good.

Benson was decent and gave us a threat of a name. . . However he always seemed like he was on the verge of breaking one, and never quite did. I was starting to consider calling him "shoestrings cedric" becuase of all of those shoestring tackles he was on the recieving end of.

Starks provided a spark in his rookie year, but since then, nip, nada, nothing... He hasn't been able to propel that initial spark into anything. There is a reason why he was a late round pick.

Green hasn't been terrible, and I'm willing to give him more than one year. In essence, this is has been his rookie year, but I'm also willing to concede that running back is one of those positions where you can explode onto the scene quickly, and Green just hasn't really done that. Like I said, I'll give him another year, but after that, He's gonna have to go.

So with all of this, I am coming to the conclusion that we're going to have to get an upgrade at the position through the draft. So here is a list of the top running backs of this draft class. Not all of them are guarenteed to come out, as some are underclassmen - so some of this is conjecture.

I think we should finally give our running backs a chance, and draft one high, like the top two rounds. Who do you think we should draft given everyone is available?
