Thursday Night Football Open Thread: Saints at Falcons

Scott Cunningham

Open thread for the Thursday Night game between the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons.

At last, a Thursday game that nearly everyone will want to watch! And to think this rivalry used to be battles just for bragging rights.

Saints and Falcons have a long history as the "Battle of Dixie", with both teams playing the other hard regardless of regular season records.

The Saints just lost in New Orleans to the San Francisco 49ers while the Atlanta Falcons had to come from behind to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa by the score of 24-23.

It is worth noting that this game is a rematch of a 31-27 Saints victory in New Orleans, a victory which ended Atlanta's hopes at a perfect season.

As always, game chat, predictions, and commentary are welcome.
