Packers depth is a thing of beauty

Recently I had a discussion with my dad on the state of the Packers. This discussion ended up posing a very interesting question: how many other teams could still win even if they are missing a third their starters to injury?

Think about it, we're missing: Jennings, Nelson, Kuhn, Bishop, DJ Smith, Shields, Perry, Worthy, Benson, Woodson, Bulaga leaves midgame, Clay leaves as well. How many other teams could miss that many people and still win? Convincingly I might add? What would the Bears look like without Marshall, their number 2 wr, Forte, Urlacher, Briggs/Roach, a d lineman, a corner, and a safety? I don't mean to pick on the Bears, but their story matches most other teams in the league. The Packers have an absurd amount of depth. It is nothing short of amazing that they can still play at this level while missing this many people. I don't know of a team with depth as good as the Packers, I don't think there is such a team.

It's good to know that when somebody gets injured, someone will step up in his place, this will be especially useful come playoff time.

This bye week couldn't have come at a better time. The scheduling gods have blessed us. This bye week will allow our guys to rest and get healthy, as well as preparing for the home stretch of the regular season. We committed to being 6-3 coming into this bye, and we have done so, now let's get healthy!
