James Starks injury: Packers RB possibly done for the year

Stay connected for news and updates

US PRESSWIRE

Super fun happy times, guys! James Starks might be done for the year.

More super fun injury news for the Green Bay Packers, who are totally healthy, especially at the running back position, and could totally afford to have this happen! According to multiple reports across the Packers media landscape, running back James Starks is likely going to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury that he sustained against the Vikings. We'll probably get confirmation of the injury from Mike McCarthy later today, but for now, here's a report from the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

Something to note from that article:

Starks was not listed on the post-game injury report, and coach Mike McCarthy made no mention of an injury to Starks during his Monday press conference.

With Cedric Benson behind schedule in his recovery, the Packers are almost certainly going to have to sign someone if Starks is indeed done for the year. There are grumblings about who that might be, and we'll probably have an update on that shortly.

For now: Crap. This blows.
