Randy Moss and the Bears Receivers In 2012
The Bears as a microcosm of Moss' problem - NFC North Blog - ESPN. Randy Moss to the Chicago Bears.
We could only be so lucky. Teaming Moss with Roy Williams would be a sight to see and mock. Unfortunately, Kevin Seifert explains at ESPN why the Bears won't be interested in Moss, and it's expected that Williams won't re-sign with the Bears either.
Of course, there still is the question of who exactly is going to play wide receiver for the Bears next season. With Williams expected to leave, and Johnny Knox's 2012 season in doubt, their top receivers are Earl Bennett and Devin Hester.

nah, I'd rather have him out of the division
He’s a cancer that will eventually kill any team he’s on, but he’s also a uniquely talented player who can, on any given Sunday, singlehandedly win any game. I don’t want him playing against the Packers on that rare Sunday that he actually decides to try.
I’d send him to the Jets, Raiders, Bengals, etc. Straight drama, homey.
agreed, if he comes back motivated I wouldn't want to see him in the same division as the Packers.
football does not build character, it reveals character.
The Boogeyman?
Randy Moss is, as they say up here, toh-ast. How many games did he single-handedly win for New England, Minnesota, and Tennessee in 2010? If Tom Brady can’t find the guy open, good luck to anyone else.

how is that at all the same thing?
Donovan McNabb was never half the player Moss was (when he felt like it)

Doesn’t matter how good he used to be, Moss is finished as an NFL producer. Roster filler? Sure, he can knock himself out, but he’s not a “do what it takes” guy. He was still taking plays off in New England. He was still taking plays off after NE ditched him. When deteriorated talent and that unwillingness to conform, he’s not an NFL player.
It depends
Will we face the Bears twice in the first 6 weeks . . . or we will not face them until week 12? Because he might be a beast in the first week but I doubt that the Bears o-line won’t leave him very frustrated by week 10!

But on a more serious note
I think he’s pretty much finished. One-dimensional, at best. He’s not going to be as fast, agile, or able to elevate like he could 12 years ago, and he never refined his game a la Jerry Rice, Hines Ward or Donald Driver where he can use his know-how to find holes in zones or dupe a young CB. And he’s never been a guy who wants to go over the middle, so that takes away a lot from an older vet’s game.
