Super Bowl Morning Open Thread
It's about 8 hours until the Super Bowl and I hope all is well. I assume the Patriots don't plan to release anymore players before the start of the game. And if you hadn't heard, the Giants are Super Bowl Champions!

I hope both teams get taken out by buses, I seriously don’t want either team to win this anymore because BOTH will be completely unbearable if they do win this.

Both will be unbearable if they lose this.

true that
didn’t even think of that…then again, Patriots losing gets a side treat of Skip trying to defend Brady on monday…hmmmm

Couldn't agree more
Going to a SB party today with no connections to NY or NE. My wife was in charge of bringing dessert and (without any prompting from me) comes home with this big fancy cake for the party today which she had decorated that reads “GO PACK GO”. Can’t stand either team and wish they could both lose today.
Ooh, an open thread. I have a feeling that this'll be more entertaining than the game tonight.
I already told you! I deal with the god damn receivers so the linebackers don’t have to! I have coverage skills; I’m good at covering people! Can’t you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people?!

Can definitely see that happening

just see?
I think it WILL happen, there’s no way this will possibly compare to the 07 super bowl.

lol. I don't think they are talking about the game.
Just that this is an “Open Thread.”
Though usually the posters respect what the main content is (like gamethreads and other important content for the site), we tend to go off on tangents at times :)

kinda didn’t make that clear, my b.

Giants win easily...
I see them being better in every single position (except QB, but it’s rather close)
Overall talent much higher with Giants and talent usually wins out.
Plus love the fact that they can rush 4 and drop 7 and blanket the field..should get some shots on Brady…
Jarrett Bush is God
TE is better for NE
forgot that
Jarrett Bush is God
Is said TE playing in the game though?

A little too early to say "game over", isn't it?

The only reason as why I’d want the Giants to win is that the Packers could possibly have the opportunity for revenge on them on the very first game of the season on a Thursday Night.
That and Coughlin is a likeable coach and never gets the credit he deserves, whereas Belicheck gets more than he deserves. This whole “Patriot way” has gone overboard and ridiculous.

The NFL MVP is ours and you can't have him.
"One time, when we got back to the locker room, all of our clothes were gone," Trout recalled. "They left me a Lady Gaga costume and I had to wear it."
A year ago right now...
I was standing outside of Jerry’s World in Dallas waiting…and waiting…and waiting for security to let me into the stadium area (just like everyone else there). I just knew we were going to win that game. Glad I had the chance to take my young son there before his leukemia came back. It was one of the best days of my life.
GB has to get back to the big game next year some way some how.

Awesome story
Hopefully your boy is doing the best with leukemia.
He is
Had a stem cell/bone marrow transplant in October and recovered faster than any of us expected. Toughest 9 year old I know. AJ Hawk, Greg Jennings and Rodgers sent him a bunch of signed stuff. Hawk even made a personalized video and e-mailed it to him when he was really sick since we live out of state. You’ll never see me disrespect Hawk on this site.

I'll take fucking Patriots I guess
I don’t really care though. I hope it’s ridiculously one-sided, whoever wins.
Aaron Rodgers, MVP.
The day LeBron James wins an NBA championship will be the day I stop watching NBA basketball. Needless to say, it looks like I'll be watching for quite a few more years.
I'm with you
Only reason I want the Pats…the lesser of 2 evils… is the Giants are closer to us in overall titles (not just SBs) and I want us to keep our healthy margin where it is.
For the first time since the Giants game I am wearing a Green Bay jersey
Showing some love for the MVP. Going to a birthday party then a Super Bowl party. A few Pats fans at the birthday party. Letting them know to keep our title warm while we come hunting for it.
I expect the same harassement I took on when I wore my Favre jersey after he was traded to the Jets. Honestly, its been since he signed with the Vikings is the last time I wore that jersey.
It's all good to rep the green and gold
I still wear mine…. but I live in Bears country. They give me shit for it, I ask how far their team got and they usually shut up.

Gotta represent
I’m doing the same thing in Vikings country today. Its easy dealing with the Queens fans though. You just say, “and when did you win your last NFL title or Super Bowl?” Then there’s this long awkward silence (awkward for them of course).
Should be interesting to see how effective Gronkowski is today...
I have a feeling the Patriots are going to need some production out of him.
