New Mock Draft - Packers Still Taking A Defensive Lineman
2012 NFL Mock Draft: Final Draft Order Is Set, Colts Are On The Clock - SBNation.com. I'm not too picky about which player the Green Bay Packers draft, but I'll be looking for the best available defensive lineman over the next couple months. A lot can change between now and the NFL combine.

Trade up?
TT did it for Clay, do you think he would do it again this draft? I think a fierce pass rusher on the line would be great.
There is nothing wrong with me cheering for players that are former players for my teams. Unless they become a Viking.

i saw a mock draft that predicted the Packers to move up and get Courtney Upshaw
i think i’d be ok with that. thoughts?
Yes, that would be great
Maybe he could fall to around 20 or so. I’d be for it.
13.
"Skip, once again, stop it; Be an analyst; don't be a douchebag."
I think that could happen.
Granted he would need to be there. I could see the Packers trading their first and a lower round pick for an instant upgrade on the line.

Ted and Mike would need to be convinced that he can both rush and cover. Having not watched tape, I can’t say – but I wasn’t that impressed watching him at the Senior Bowl. Based on that tiny snapshot, I’d prefer Vinny Curry, who I thought had a better game.
Watching Upshaw
I thought he was a bit stiff and relied way to much on a bull rush to get to the QB. One hand I like him, but I think he is gonna struggle in the NFL.
I'm with you
I would prefer Vinny Curry. He’s a 2nd Round Prospect right now, but I have a feeling he’s going to become a 1st Round Prospect after the combine. I honestly wouldn’t feel bad if we took him at the end of the 1st if he’s TT’s guy. I would prefer to have him over Nick Perry of USC as well.
One game at a time...
Trade up?
I don’t see the Packers trading up in the 1st round… Matthews was rated by the Packers as about the #12 overall player in his draft class by the Packers. So when they traded up to get him at 26, they saw it as getting the 12th player at 26 and the other draft picks they traded away. In order for Thompson to move up it would have to be a situation where the #10 overall player has dropped to say 20 and then trade away our 2nd or 3rd round to move up to 20 to get the 10th best player in the draft. Its not impossible, but I do find it highly unlikely! More than likely, the Packer sit still at #28 and draft someone at DL or OLB, and then if a guy they have rated as a late 1st slides down to say 40-45 and the Packers trade up in the 2nd to get another guy they see as a late 1st round pick. I think moving down into the top of 2nd from #28 is more likely than moving up from 28…

Makes sense
and seems in line with TT’s way of thinking.
How about Melvin Ingram?
I need a scouting report on ’im, and if he fits in our defense.
Aaron Rodgers, MVP.
The day LeBron James wins an NBA championship will be the day I stop watching NBA basketball. Needless to say, it looks like I'll be watching for quite a few more years.
No problem.
Thanks anyways bud.

Trade Down, Stockpile Draft Picks
We need 8-10 rookies on this team to earn meaningful playing time. If this team is lacking anything, it’s quality depth. (And quality starters in most spots, for that matter.)
Oh……….hold up.
This isn’t the Vikings SB Nation page?
Never mind……carry on….
(…awkward….)

NFL Draft Dog...
has the Packers taking UNC OLB Zach Brown at 28.
Does the Pack stay at 28 and draft Brown or move up to take Upshaw? That move might be self-defeating given Thompson’s preference for more picks in the lower rounds. Upshaw’s a little bigger but NFL Draft Dog has Upshaw gone by the time the Packers pick at #28.
NFL Draft Dog barking up the wrong tree...
There is no way TT will draft Zach Brown in the first round not if better OLBs such as Vinny Curry, Nick Perry or Andre Branch are available at 28. And one of those guys will be available at 28. Zach Brown is most likely a 2nd rounder. Does not possess size and speed to be power pass rusher that Packer’s will need to complement CM. Upshaw would be nice but I think the price will be too high. He is probably going in the top 12.
Stupid Is As Stupid Does!
They're dumb!
Zach Brown is a good OLB, but he is a 43 OLB, not a 34 OLB! In our 34 D, he would play Bishop’s position!
