Hello all, and welcome! Coming up this weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) will be the final live draft over at MTD, with myself as our representative. One of our members here smartly requested a war room type of thread so everyone could get involved. As such, I invite everyone to partake in this draft (and thread) so we may create a dynasty! As a side note, if anyone else wants to run it / be the GM, let me know. I'd be glad to let someone else take over and have some fun. After the jump is more information, as well as some ideas for discussion questions.

First of all, I'd like to thank all of you that have helped out in the previous two drafts, as well as thank everyone for their enjoyable discussions on the upcoming NFL draft. Reading all of your opinions have helped shaped what I've done in the previous two, and what I think of certain prospects. That information, combined with some video/internet research in addition to reading scouting reports have led me to create a tiered prospect list. This list is what I plan to use on draft day, so as to get the right players in the right positions. I've posted it up on Google docs so you all can see it an critique it. I've decided to turn off editing for it, because it could turn into a real mess if everyone decides to change things to how they see it. What it is is a listing of players that I feel fit our system, and where I would draft them. If you're interested in my sources, most of the information I used as a basis for players and grades came from National Football post, CBS sports, and NFL draft scout (run by CBS).

If you like certain players, let me know, especially if they are not on the spreadsheet! Conversely if you don't like some players on the list, post that as well. If you feel that my player ratings are bull, post that too! Basically I want your opinions on players and ratings.

In addition to critiques on players, I would enjoy hearing your thoughts on draft strategies and thoughts. Timothy Bryce and BirdDogUni have been running a series on these type of questions, so a lot of these ideas have been fleshed out already. I have two goals in this draft. One is to get two impact players with our first three picks. The other is to get at least 2 OLB's,1 DE and NT, 1 DB, and 1 C/G. What do you think of that?

And finally, I hope to see you all here on draft day as well! A major part of this thread is so that we can all comment on whats happening in the MTD draft as it happens. Offer your thoughts on certain teams picking certain players, trade strategies as players are picked early or start to fall, even targeting certain players. And when it gets closer to when we are on the clock, give your opinions on who to draft! So without further due, I turn this over to you, my fellow Packer fans.
