Green Bay Packers fans and believers in the Madden Curse, you have your wish. Your beloved starting quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, will not grace the cover of EA Sports' Madden '13 video game. You guys organized a vote against Rodgers, didn't you? You had to. That's the only way Rodgers could have possibly lost in such a ridiculously thorough fashion.
Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson defeated Rodgers by a crazy big 67% to 33% margin. Megatron is up against Cam Newton in the final, which should be a close vote. They're two of my favorite non-Packers in the NFL, and I can't imagine I'm alone in that. They're two of the most entertaining players in the league at the moment.
Johnson was asked about the Madden Curse and he said that he wasn't the least bit worried about it, which indicates to me that he is an intelligent person who is capable of critical thinking. A man after my own heart, Johnson said he plays more FIFA than Madden anyway.
