NFL Draft 2012: Green Bay Packers Have Room For Lots Of New Players

Stay connected for news and updates

Before you step away from the computer to go act like you have a "life" and a "family" for the night, here's an interesting note from Rob Demovsky of the Green Bay Press-Gazette on the Green Bay Packers and their roster.

Holy cats, that is a large number. Ted Thompson was already the king of the trade down and finding bargain undrafted free agents, but he's got even more room to do both of these things with new roster rules. Most likely, the Packers are going to sign quite a few undrafted free agents and have a lot of competition in training camp for a small number of roster spots. The Packers have been meeting with a number of late round and potential UDFAs pre-draft, probably in anticipation of signing quite a few of them.
