The new availability of players like Colt McCoy due to recent draft picks has got me wondering about other current NFL players that Green Bay could acquire with their plethora of picks. Some members of local Dallas radio stations have discussed trading their now 3rd CB Mike Jenkins for a 4th or 5th round pick. I understand he has struggled mightily at times, but on the packers roster he could be a solid 3rd or 4th corner and he is still young. For a 5th round pick, or giving up a 5th and GB swapping with DAL to move up in the 6th, I wouldn't mind the move. 12 draft picks are not making this team in camp. Young, experienced players might be better served to make the roster than whomever we get with those low round picks. I don't know if Mike Jenkins fits the scheme per se, but I like the theory of acquiring young, developing players that are already in the league if the price is right.
