The Green Bay Packers have moved up in the 2nd round, sensing that some of their top targets were dropping. The Philadelphia Eagles made a move up to the 12th overall pick in the first round to grab Fletcher Cox, so they were likely a willing participant in a trade so that they can move down and accumulate more picks. The Packers had 12 picks heading into this draft, so they had plenty to use to move up.
The Packers receive the 51st overall pick in the draft while the Eagles drop eight spots to No. 59, and pick up the 129th pick in the draft.
Green Bay already had two other 4th round compensatory picks, so they don't lose a whole lot giving up their regular 4th round pick. The Packers used the pick to select DT/DE Jerel Worthy out of Michigan State. Most scouts had a 1st round grade on Worthy and he was NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock's best player available at 51 overall.
