Mike Neal has revealed the PED for which he received the 4-game ban from the NFL. He was taking Adderall to treat Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. The error, he seems to have made, was to go to a doctor himself without consulting Packer team physician, Dr. Patrick McKenzie, to obtain a prescription for the drug.
Neal says that he and the Packers are now in the process of having his prescription approved by the NFL. He also added that he has not taken steroids nor HGH, and believes that he has done nothing wrong. Therefore, he is filing another appeal to the NFL to have his 4-game suspension lifted. In Neal's favor is the fact that NY Giant RB, Andre Brown, has also recently had a 4-game suspension lifted for taking Adderall without properly informing the NFL.

Many fans had automatically jumped to the conclusion that Neal had taken steroids or HGH; sometimes even calling for the Packers to cut him outright. Sometimes there is nothing quite like having all the facts.
