Sunday Night Open Thread: Lions at 49ers

DETROIT - OCTOBER 16: Alex Smith #11 of the San Francisco 49ers drops back to pass as Ndamukong Suh #90 of the Detroit Lions attemps to block the pass during of the NFL game against the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on October 16, 2011 in Detroit, Michigan. After a long day of football, with some surprises and some games that were not surprising, the last game of the day features the Detroit Lions facing off against the San Francisco 49ers in what is the first game between the teams since the handshake fracas last October.

How will the teams and coaches react to each other? We shall see. This game might have playoff implications, as the 49ers and Lions both have aspirations to make the playoffs in 2012.

As always, predictions, thoughts, and game chat are welcome.
