I'm not a big fan of stealing and re-posting content that's behind a paywall, as most of you who have been reading the site since last draft know. However, people want to know who Mel Kiper projects to the Packers in the NFL Draft, so I figure we can find a happy medium.

What I can tell you is that Kiper has tight end Zach Ertz, from Stanford, going to the Packers at No. 26 overall. Kiper describes Ertz as a player who "has shown an ability to make tough catches all over the field, both down the seam and on the edges."

In the event Jermichael Finley leaves the Green Bay Packers, which remains a distinct possibility despite his comments that he would like to remain with the organization forever, Ertz would be a great pickup. He's a huge target and is an extremely versatile player who is a solid run blocker as well as a good receiver. Think of him as a slightly quicker version of the Steelers' Heath Miller.
