After the NFL expands to 36 teams by adding Los Angeles, Mexico City, Portland and San Antonio, and then realigning into 6 divisions.
East Division: Buffalo, Carolina, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit and Pittsburgh.
South Division: Atlanta, Jacksonville, Miami, New Orleans, Tampa Bay and Tennessee.
North Division: Chicago, Green Bay, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Minnesota and Saint Louis.
West Division: Arizona, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Mexico City and San Antonio.
Pacific Division: Los Angeles, Oakland, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco and Seattle.
The regular season could remain at 16 games, with each division playing one other division per season, or a 17th game could be added.
The post-season could be CONTRACTED to 10 teams, with each division winner receiving a 1st round bye, or could be expanded to as many as 16 teams.
Other expansion markets to consider: Anaheim, Las Vegas, Oklahoma City and Salt Lake City. A 40-team NFL would be the next progression.
