Hello everyone, remember me? I'm the guy who likes to talk about drafts and draft prospects. As of right now, I would say the Packers biggest needs entering this upcoming offseason, this is of course pending injuries and development of current players, are center, right tackle, inside linebacker, and wide receiver. The following is my all too early mock draft, and this is based on the Packers drafting somewhere in the mid to late 20's in next years draft.
Round 1: Cameron Erving/OT/Florida State- Yes the Packers have made several attempts in recent drafts to fill their need at tackle. I like David Bakhtiari but they still need a right tackle. They may have more pressing needs, but as of right now, this is what makes the most sense with their first round draft choice.
Round 2: Brandon Coleman/WR/Rutgers- I think it is time for Thompson to stock up at the wide receiver position again. I like Coleman's size and measurements.
Round 3: Tyler Larsen/C/Utah State- The Packers have messed around with the center position for too long and EDS is not going to get it done.
Round 4: Andrew Jackson/ILB/Western Kentucky- The Packers need to upgrade the interior of the linebacking unit, and Jackson would be a good place to start.
Round 5: DeAndre Coleman/DT/California- Ryan Pickett isn't going to play forever. Coleman might fit well as a 3-4 end.
Round 6: Logan Thomas/QB/Virginia Tech- Not too long ago Thomas was considered to be a top of the first round talent. He still has that talent in there somewhere, and maybe the Packers are the team that could find it.
Round 7: Jeremy Deering/SS/Rutgers- The Packers could use some depth at safety as well.
Well, what do you all think? I have also added a poll to give you all something else to think about.
