Everyone wants to blame this loss on Wallace. I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt as he hasn't taken many snaps with the first team offense. Of course he will not make the plays Rodgers will, but I believe he can be adequate. His play against the Eagles should provide a better glimpse into his capability. I have faith the coaching staff can put together a good enough game plan to get us through the next few games.
The defense was the bigger issue on Monday night. There was absolutely no pass-rush and the corner back play was horrendous. If you have any questions, go back and watch the tape of the Bears last drive in the 4th quarter. I believe the time of possession was somewhere around 9 minutes! The fact that the defense could not get off the field on 3rd down was the reason we lost that game. Sure you can make the argument that if Rodgers had not gotten injured the Packers most likely would have crushed the Bears, however they would have had to put up 30+ points on offense to do so. If we ever hope to win a championship in the near future the Packers Defense needs to start generating plays.
