Cheese Curds: Green Bay Packers News and Links for November 8, 2013

Al Bello

Today's curds include a look at what the Packers need to do to stay in the playoff hunt with Aaron Rodgers out for several weeks.

This terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad week is almost over, Packers fans. Soon, it will be Sunday, and we will have another Green Bay game to watch, and I can assure you that we will know far more about the Packers' capabilities without Aaron Rodgers at that time than we do right now.

In the meantime, let's look ahead to that game against the Eagles and see if we can get any better idea of what might happen on Sunday.

Packers defense grasps for its identity - JSOnline
And needs to start grasping onto ball-carriers better. Seriously, if they had cut the missed tackles in half on Monday night, they would have at the very least given the offense the ball with enough time to put together a real drive at the end of the game.

Christian Ponder injury: Vikings QB out after taking hit to shoulder - SBNation.com
Ponder was stretching the ball out to the end zone, but took a hit from DeAngelo Hall and landed hard on his left shoulder. Watching live, it looked eerily similar to the angle at which Aaron Rodgers landed on Monday.
